"One of several images I took on April 19th, 2009, in

Storm Clouds, South Dakota
Photograph by Patrick Kelley
" Large powerful storms can be nearly a daily occurrence during
the summer months on the South Dakota plains.  This one
felt very mysterious as it filled the sky with dark, heavy clouds
and thunder that shook the ground.  It was as if two worlds
were colliding" (Patrick Kelley).

Lightning at Huntington Beach, Ohio
Photograph by James Larkin
" While at Huntington Beach in Bay Village, Ohio, I saw
a storm approaching fast out of the north.  I got lucky and
was in the right place at the right time.  Whithin a minute of
this shot, the storm unleashed its fury on the beach" (James Larkin).
